i bought my wedding dress on ebay.

Three months before my wedding, nonetheless. But I sort of always knew that’s how it would happen. The made to order route never really resonated with me - I just couldn’t stomach spending $5k on a polyester dress that I’d be locked into spending another $1,500 in alterations for. And to be clear - absolutely zero judgment to those who go that route. But there are so many of those routes, and very few for those of us who want something different.

Once I confirmed I wanted to wear vintage or second hand, another thing became very clear: you have to kind of have to be willing to spend a lot. There didn’t seem to be a place where I could go and have an amazing experience with quality clothes that I could touch and try on in person before committing to a purchase where I wasn’t walking out spending less than $3k. Why? Lots of things infuriate me, and price gauging brides/people trying to get married is one of them.

Thus, Party Vintage was born. A place that takes the risk out of buying vintage. A place that does its best to meet a wide range of price points and sizes. A place where hopefully you can find something that makes you feel like the best version of you on your wedding day, or for that event you have coming up. Transparency, fairness, and a genuine love for clothes with histories is what fuels me.
